Ring Network

This is a type of network arrangement whereby one computer is linked to the next and the last computer is linked back to the first, so forming a ring shaped network.

The advantage of a ring network is that it is simple to set up with no complicated addressing needed. So its useful for small office networks. The disadvantage is that if one of the links is broken then computers on one side of the break can't communicate with those on the other side.
