Graph or Chart

This is a method of presenting data in a visual manner.

Humans are truly excellent at seeing patterns (much better than computers). Graphs take advantage of this by making standard shapes such as lines, columns, colours and arrows etc to represent data.

Graphs normally have at least one vertical axis and a horizontal axis that allows one set of data to be plotted against another.

There are many types of graphs, the most common ones include, Line, Columns, XY Scatter and Pie charts.

Most Office software is capable of producing graphs but the one most commonly used is a spreadsheet application.
