When software has a fault, this is called a 'Bug'.

Debugging means to check software to find and fix the bugs or errors in the software code.

Trivia fact: The word 'Bug' came from the very early days of computers, when the story goes that one day a cockroach got fried on some high power circuits inside the first electronic computer. This 'bug' caused a fault and ever since, a computer fault has been called a 'bug'.
